On Friday, 30 May 2014, the Private Healthcare Inquiry Panel published the “Statement of Issues” and “Guidelines for Participation in the Market Inquiry into the Private Healthcare Sector” for public comment.
The Statement of Issues sets out the Inquiry Panel’s initial view of the appropriate framework for the conduct of the market inquiry into private healthcare. The issues set out in the Statement are intended to be topics for investigation and do not represent any settled views or findings of the Panel.
The Guidelines for Participation contain the rules of participation that will apply to all stakeholders who wish to participate in the proceedings of the market inquiry. The guidelines seek to provide for a fair opportunity and transparent process for all stakeholders to participate effectively in the market inquiry into private healthcare.
